One Good Horse
We couldn’t quite believe the phone call when they asked us to help put up the Crusader horse for the first time since the Earthquakes. We’re used to inflatables, but the horse is something else and taller than anything we have put up before. It took a morning of practising at the stadium and then a day of cleaning at our house (it did amuse the neighbours. I reckon it was a bit of one-upmanship on those with Crusader flags flying!), but we were ready for the big night. Eight ropes to hold it down and about 700kg of concrete at the bottom kept the iconic Crusader up to encourage our team. Sadly the night’s results weren’t in our favour, but there’s still a long season ahead! GO CRUSADERS!
